cooperation of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI) and Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo (VIS) Don Bosco TVET Mekanissa had already been licensed and recognized by Addis Abeba TVET Agency and has begun offering formal courses to many poor and vulnerable young boys and girls in level 1 and level 2 in accordance to the Ethiopian TVET Qualification framework and Occupational standards.  Besides, based on the existing market demand it had been catering short competency based evening courses to informal and formal workers and operators of the printing industry sector who work during the day.  The level based courses are offered by the local experts, whereas short courses have been offered several times by international printing and graphic experts coming from well known printing and graphic schools of St. Zeno and St. Marco in Italy.  With the beginning of the new course in Printing and Graphics, Don Bosco Mekanissa is becoming a hub for many young people.  The new school building is well furnished and the workshop is well equipped with latest machines and equipment such as GTO 52 one color, GTO 52 two color, GTO 52 four color, Computer to Plate (CTP), Paper Cutting machines, Laminating machines, Stitching machines, Perforating machine, Polar Paper cutting machine, Cord Offset machine, Letter Press Platen machine, Pallet Truck, and many more to come through the good possibility of the project. The Classes have already begun under the project of "Print Your Future" and the main objective of the project is to improve the Ethiopian workers' technical and professional skills and enlarge the chances of work placement for the young people in the sector of graphic and typographic arts as well as sector related new technologies.  The school is the first of its kind in this industry in the whole country of Ethiopia which is certainly a matter of pride for the whole Salesian world.
